UPV spinoff logo UPV Spin-Off
VLC Photonics spins off from the Univesitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and as such, it keeps strong collaboration links and agreements, allowing the access to extensive optical characterization and testing infrastructures, including: high-resolution optical spectrum analyzers, polarization analyzers, auto/crosscorrelators, vector network analyzers, optical sensing interrogators, lightwave component analyzers, parallel bit error rate testers, PRBS generator/transmission analyzers, single and arrayed tunable laser sources, broadband sources, etc.
VLC/Campus logo VLC/CAMPUS
VLC/CAMPUS is an International Campus of Excellence promoted by the University of Valencia (UV), the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) and the High Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), which aims: to be a hub of knowledge of international excellence through specialization of scientific-technological production; to improve the quality of training on offer, services and facilities; to promote attraction and retention of talent; and to lead the change towards a new sustainable social and sustainable economic model. VLC Photonics is located at the Polytechnical Innovation City, one of the two scientific parks of VLC/CAMPUS.

The European Technology Platform Photonics21 is an association of industrial enterprises and other stakeholders in the field of photonics in Europe, counting more than 1,400 members from 49 countries. Its mission is the coordination of the research and development activities in Europe among all the contributing partners from education, basic and applied research, and development to manufacturing for all relevant applications.

The Spanish Technological Platform Fotonica21 gathers all main actors of the photonics sector in Spain. It was created under the support of the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Commerce, to coordinate activities at a national level in an equivalent way as its parent european platform Photonics21.

The Southern European Cluster of Photonics and Optics (SECPhO) gathers a group of more than 50 companies in the sector, from large corporations to SMEs and research centers. The main objective of this business-oriented cluster is to increase competitiveness, exploit any scientific and technological developments, help companies to be born and grow, and provide specialized training and education of human resources, with exportation as a key factor for growth.
