The laser optics exhibit 2014, held from 18-20 March 2014 in Berlin, is taking off with a new concept and brings two key technologies together: optical technologies and microsystems technology. The OSA Optics & Photonics Congress and the Congress of Optical Sensors and Cyber-Physical Systems take place in parallel to laser optics.
VLC Photonics CEO Inigo Artundo will be visiting the exhibit and giving a talk on “Generic photonic integration for sensing and fibre sensor interrogation systems” at the Hybrid and monolithic system integration session, on Thursday 20th at 17:10. If you are interested in photonic integration, do not hesitate and contact him at inigo.artundo(at)vlcphotonics.com to arrange a meeting at the exhibit.
Additionally, several events are organized in parallel by the European Photonic Industry consortium: the technology workshop “Optical Interconnect in Data Centers”, a session on EU Funding and the EPIC Annual General Assembly. For more information on these, check EPIC website.
Finally, the JePPIX consortium, supported by the EU project PARADIGM and EPIC, will also organize a workshop on Thursday 20th entitled: “Generic foundry model for InP Photonic ICs.” This workshop introduces a generic development chain for photonic circuits based on Indium Phosphide (InP). VLC Photonics will be giving a talk at 16:15 on PIC design and design house services. More information and registration at the workshop page.
